Hi, My dad, my brother and i are thinking of going on a carnival cruise on the carnival dream coming up in december. We are looking for around 3500 and no more than 4000 dollars. i found a deluxe oceanview room for about 3300, but im not sure about the rivera deck. How is it? I'm nervous it will be really rough and not pleasent. Or do you have any other suggestions for rooms on the cruise ship?

You don't say where you are going so it's hard to tell whether that's a good price.  It does appear high for just an outside room.  Not sure if you meant that the $3300 was for all three, or just per cabin.  If you're going at christmas it's also more expensive.  The least expensive cruises are the cruise BEFORE Thanksgiving and the 2 cruises AFTER thanksgiving.  Sorry Hanna, I just don't have enough info to guide you very well.

Rivera deck is fine, it's middle of the ship.  You can't ever tell about the seas, but with such a large ship, you certainly feel very little.

Please do some more checking before you book your cruise.  Go to Carnival.com, check price, then cruisesonly.com, also please go to cruiscritic.com, join the community (free), then go to Carnival message boards and you can ask your question there as well and read what others are paying.

I always book with a cruise only agency as they get the best prices, but the last 2 carnival cruises, I booked directly with them as they were the lowest.
