I am thinking about taking a Carnival cruise out of the port of Miami. Currentlly there are some pretty good deals into FLL (save about $150 r/t). Is it worth the effort to fly into FLL and a longer taxi ride or just fly into MIA?

charles, $150 is significant money.  It's easy to get from FLL to the port of Miami.  Multiple that by the number of people in your group and that's decent money.

It's only a 40 min ride from FLL to the port and lots of options for transportation.  the "Shuttle", or taxi's.  Ft Laud airport is also much easier getting around etc.  I avoid MIA whenever I can.
