Hi! I am planning a cruise for 11/07/09 on Carnival Destiny. I would like to know which airport is closest to the port of Miami and which airport in Florida is farther away from port of Miami? Also, how long would it take to get from the airport to the port?

Closest airport to the POM would be Miami International. Other airport clients choose to fly into when checking for the lower fares would be Ft. Lauderdale. Port of Miami taxi is approx. a $25.00 one way trip from airport to pier and about a 15 minute drive. Lauderdale airport will run about $60.00 - $75.00 each way if using a taxi, but there are other methods of transfers that are more cost effective. Expect a 30 - 45 minute drive from Lauderdale to the POM.
