Carnival/Carnival cruise with a 4 year old

Question
I'm considering going on a Carnival cruise with my 4 year old daughter and some other family members.  Unfortunately, my husband won't be able to go and I was wondering if there will be activities that she & I can do together.  Will she be permitted in some of the evening shows?  She is very good at sitting through those types of productions but is there an age requirement?  I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be leaving her with the ship child care.  Thanks for your help!

Answer
Camp Carnival is a structured childrens program with excellent counsellors who hold degrees in childrens education. They will have all kinds of things for the children to do, but parents are not allowed to participate unless the child is an infant. She will be permitted in all the evening shows but not the shows late at night that require a minimum age of 18years old and are "R" rated ! But I am sure she will enjoy the shows in general. You need to know that the costumes worn at the regular shows are of a las vegas style revue but given her age I do not think would be too worried about her attaending those shows at all.

I think you will be well pleased with the activities and excellent supervision that Camp Carnival provides to the children and encourage you to allow your child to participate in the program. If she is uncomfortable there, she is not required to attend.

As for things for you and her to do together....the activities outside of camp carnival are more geared towards adults, but you and her can participate in them if you like. For a complete listing of things that occur in Camp Carnival, I would encourage you to visit www.carnival.com and see all that will occur on your ship and sailing throughout your cruise.

Have a GREAT CRUISE !
