Carnival/RESERVATION FOR SHORE EXCURSION IN ADVANCE?

Question
Hi Linda, would you recommend to book in advance for any particular shore excursion for a family with one kid after boarding the carnival glory to eastern Caribbean?

We will depart on Sunday March the 28th, coming back to Miami next Sunday.

Both my kid and my husband love swimming and snorkeling, all of us love animals, and I like cultural tours and historical sites as well.

Regards,

Carmen

Answer
Carmen, to find out what the people on your cruise are doing, go to cruisecritic.com, join the community (free) then go to BOARDS, then to MEET AND MINGLE, then find your cruise listed.  You'll find people that may also have a child you can sort of hook up with also.  there are lots of tours for swim and snorkle, those you can see by logging onto carnival.com, then to destinations/shore excursions and you can read about the tours.

By reading cruisecritic you may also find others that are booking independent tours that you may like better than the ship and are less expensive. there are MANY opportunities for swimming and snorkel in St. Thomas.  You will probably enjoy San Juan as there's lots of history there.

Try the above 2 sites and ask away if you have any further questions.  Don't worry that the trips will sell out....as long as you book before they close the sales, you'll get on the excursion you want.
