Carnival/Carnival Cruise leaving from San Juan, PR

Question
Our cruise is scheduled to dock at 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday.  In your opinion, would we make 12:25 flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico or should we book a later flight?

Answer
Sorry for the delay getting back to you.... due to a death in the family last week, I have been out of the office and just returned.

Given that SJU can be a "ZOO" with cruise passengers on any given weekend, plus the fact that you must have all luggage inspected thru the agriculture inspection xrays BEFORE checking in, I always urge our clients NOT TO MAKE A FLIGHT BEFORE 1pm. Despite the ship "docking" at 7am in SJU.... it must first clear customs officials before any passengers are allowed off the ship. Many times delays occur and passengers are not off the ship until 9am or later, thus my suggestion of no flights BEFORE 1pm.

Have a Great Cruise.....
