Question
i recived a free cruise voucher, but i was informed that i will have to pay the port cost. it is for a 7 day cruise out of galveston, tx abord the majic. can you tell me what the port cost could be?

Answer
Be very leary of those "free cruises" as they come with atachments, i.e. overcharging of port charges (usualy should be approx. no higher than $159 p/p or a lttle higher depending on the ports visited if you booked the cruise with a TA or thru the cruiseline), additional fee's not disclosed until you contact them via phone, unusually high non refundable fee's, etc.....

Usually you have to give them three dates of prefered travel, and it could take them months before they give you an answer for the date requested, but will want their "non refundable" money up front and be very agressive over the phone for a credit card. Usually these promotions involve a time share presentation as well, and again a high pressured sales pitch to purchase.
