QuestionOn The Carnival Triumph what is there to do From the Miami Port? (Cozumel Mexico, Grand Cayman Island, and Ocho rios Jamaica) $5,000 for five people(Air line And Cruise). If you Know Please tell me how much Horseback riding , and swiming with the stingrays Are?
AnswerThat's a great price for air and cruise, you must have a great travel agent ! OK, now for what there is to do. In Ocho Rios, if you're in fairly good health, do Dunn's River Falls. Take a pair of OLD sneakers with you, after the climb, pitch them, or find a sale on those "beach shoes", you don't want to go barefoot. Climb is nice, great pic opportunity. In the Caymens, no choice here, you MUST do the swim with the stingrays, they are AWESOME. They feel like velvet. From the dock in Grand Caymen, you'll board a bus for about a 15 min ride to the docks, then on a boat or catamaran for about 20 min. Then you jump out of boat and swim with stingrays, you'll have a chance to feed them. If anyone is not a strong swimmer, have them wear lifevest as current can be strong and although brochure states 4-5 ft depth, it is deeper during high tide. Cost I think in March was about $38-42. I don't remember about the horseback riding price as I'm too chicken for that! In Cozumel, it will depend on your group. You can see the Mayan ruins (HOT, bring your own water), but if any of your group is into photography, they'll get some great shots. We chose in March to go on the Jeep Safari. 4 to a jeep, one of your group drives. You're escorted out in the boonies then into the backwoods. Geeze, you do rock'n'roll and slip and slide and bounce like the devil....it was fun. Then you go by boat to the beach and swim, walk or play volleyball for an hour, then head back. They provide mosquito repellant and sodas. The day we were there a storm was coming and the wind blowing so hard you couldn't swim, we all got sand-blasted, so guide took us back to the jeeps early and we did some sight-seeing. We had a good time. We were on the Triumph in March, she's a great ship.
Happy Cruising
