Question
I have a family of 4,including my twin 10 year old daughters. We are arriving at the Ft.Lauerdale airport traveling to the Miami port cruising carnival on 6/24/07 through 7/1/07.How much is a shuttle to the port? Which will be the fastest and cheapest transportation? I will stay in Miami a few days post cruise and flying out of Miami on 7/3/07.

Answer
several options here; you can book a shuttle thru Carnival, I think it's about $15 per person; drawback is that you must wait for everyone else that's arriving.
Second option is a cab, that will run you about the same thing, BUT, you don't need to wait for a group of other people.  You're about 30 minutes North of the port of Miami when you land in ft.Lauderdale.
Now, since you're staying in Miami, after the cruise;  there is a shuttle from the hotels there to Ft.Laud. Airport; it's called Airport Shuttle, that's $12.50 per person.  They pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport. If you choose that option, make sure you tell them how many bags you have as the van ususally can take 9 people.

Enjoy your cruise!
