Question
We would like to visit South Beach after our cruise returns to Port of Miami.  We are flying out of Ft. Lauderdale that evening and we were wondering what can we do with our luggage while we visit South Beach.  We were going to rent a car, but with limited time,  we really didn't want to rent a car and try to find a parking spot.  Can we leave it at the cruise port and go back and get it.  Any suggestions would be welcomed.  Thank you.

Answer
You can't leave your things at the port, it's like the airport, you gotta take them with you.You may be better off renting a car in Miami that you can return to Ft.Laud and keep your luggage in the car.  You can't always get a cab as quickly as you want and you have a 35-45 min cab ride from South Beach to Ft Laud airport; also very expensive!  I think you'll spend less time finding a spot to park as you'll be going during the DAY; South Beach is a lot less crowded during the day until dark. There is a lot of people watching to do in south beach, but you do know it's really known for it's nightlife don't you?

For an alternative to South Beach, google fort Lauderdale; Riverwalk, Las Olas Blvd  That may be a better alternative.  take a look at what Ft Laud has to offer, don't know what you're really interested in.

Sorry, I can't be more specific.
