Question

Ping.Tehuacan
Hello

Recently I purchased a Ping. Techuacan, I was wondering hows the best way to water it?  I know you water Pings when they get dry and have a little but of water in a tray but I've notice the soil is much muddier/wetter then any other ping I've received from Cobraplants so it made me wonder if it was being watered from a tray instead of on top?  Secondly why I ask this is it's so small and close to the ground when I top water it the water drowns the plant for a second or two.

Thanks Justin

Answer
We sometimes use a different soil recipe depending on the ingredients we can get from our suppliers.  In this case, add less water to the top of the soil.  If you have it in a tray with other butterworts, it'll still get sufficient moisture from the other plants.

We no longer answer how-to questions (i.e. How do I propagate...?; How do I grow...?).

Instead, we help growers by diagnosing a specific plant problem and offering solutions (i.e. Why is my sundew not producing dew?; Is now a good time to divide my Sarracenia?; Why are the traps turning black?; What's a good substitute for perlite?; Why didn't my seeds germinate?; Can you identify this carnivorous plant for me?)
