Question
I just recieved my P. moranensis from you guys today and a question struck me. I have read in a book that in winter
P. moranensis produces non-carnivorous leaves and should at that time have the soil only sliightly damp. When would be a good time to do that?
Hi Elizabeth,
Many Mexican butterworts will produce winter rosettes, but P. moranensis won't do it if you keep water and light consistent. Just keep the soil moist, and it will probably keep growing. If it does produce a winter rosette, just stop watering for about 2 months, then resume again. They can be bone dry during dormancy. After that it will start growing big leaves again.
