Question

cobra lily
allexeperts,

Is my Cobra Lilly doing okay the big leaf one looks like it is dying is that normal.   For leaf to die so quickly I have attached a photo. Hopefully it will go thru and you will be able to see it.  The big guy has whole in it it.

Sincerely,

Weylin

Answer
Hi Weylin,

The big leaf is just drying up from the sudden humidity change.  Go ahead and cut that off.  It will help minimize transpiration.

Since you need to get it out of that cube you could start by drilling a few holes in it.  Give it a couple days, then put a few more in the cube.  By the end of two weeks it should be strong enough to come out of the container.

Ironically, I was just transplanting a couple hundred Darlingtonia today.  We had to redo our beds a change soil.

Good Growing!
