Question
I seen a a picture on cobra plant photo gallery of a slug crawling into a Judith Hindle pitcher if the slug sell in and wasn't able to get out would that kill the plant, also what about other things like small frogs and mice or a small lizard. If those things crawled into the plant and could not get out would the plant die
Hi Ricky,
It takes a lot more than a captured critter to kill a carnivorous plants. The most common reason why carnivorous plants die is lack of sunlight. It's a misconception that over feeding will kill a plant. This is simply not true. If a critter is too large for a pitcher, it will rot in the pitcher and the pitcher will die off. However, the plant itself will continue to grow.
