Question
Species: pitcher plants and Flytraps
Lighting: FULL SUN
Water: rain water
Soil : 50/50 Perlite / Peat
Location: KNOXVILLE TENNESSEE
I have had a problem with several of my pitcher plants rotting due to moisture or so I thought. I Took one of the pitcher plants apart this morning and noticed tiny white worms eating the rotted part. On closer examination of several other containers (with flytraps and pitchers) it appears the worms are in every container.
Beyond tossing out this soil mix and restarting. Is there any advice you can give me? I'll do what ever it takes to get this problem solved.

These little white worms sound like fungus gnat larvae. You may need to spray with a systemic fungicide if you don't want to transplant. Look for a product with the insecticide imidacloprid. Many of the Bayer products such as this one contain it. http://www.bayeradvanced.com/rose-flower-care/products/dual-action-rose-flower-i... Spray the plants and the soil. Be sure to follow the directions on the label.
