Question
Hello!
I was considering getting a unique or bizarre tropical pitcher plant for a
west or south facing window of my home. I have narrowed my choices down
to four species. N. maxima, N. aristolochioides, N. jamban, and N.
jaquelineae. Are these four easy growers? Are some better than others? If the
have preferences for cool nights, how do I achieve such?

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately, all of the species you mentioned will be very slow growers. If you're just looking for a nice Nepenthes for a bright windowsill, consider plants such as N. sanguinea, N. truncata (lowland) or any number of hybrids. Hybrids tend to have more vigor and adapt better to windowsill growing. Hybrids of N. maxima such as N. x miranda and lots of other can be aggressive growers and get quite large.
