Question
My Nepenthes sanguinea is getting too large and I would like
)
to start a smaller plant. Can I do it through leaf
propagation? The plant I have is long, lanky and no pitchers
which I have since learned is due to the wrong type of soil.
I'l like to start over. Your thoughts?"
Hi Jan,
Nepenthes propagation is through stem cuttings. Your plant is in prime condition with nice elongated stems to take several cuttings. Trimming back the big plant will also help keep it bushy and have a more compact appearance.
