Question
so I brought in my nepenthes plants from outdoors into my bedroom, which is on the westside. I want my plants to keep on growing through out fall/winter so i set up a compact fluorescent light bulb on timer. It says its a 150W replacement which uses 42W. is 150w too much for my nepenthes miranda and deoose?
If your window faces west, the lighting would be a good supplement to natural sunlight. You shouldn't depend on it as your sole source for lighting because as your plants get large, compact fluorescent bulbs won't be adequate, regardless of the wattage. If your plants are small enough to fit under the light, they'll do just fine when combined with natural sunlight.
