Question
I had a question about using Maxsea fertilizer and Superthrive together. Would it do more harm than good if I mixed 2 or 3 drops of Superthrive and 1/4 tsp of Maxsea fertilizer to 1 gallon of RO water. I know that mixing a vitamin B1 solution to a weak solution of fertilizer to feed bonsai is beneficial...I have several species of bonsai and this has been beneficial to them.

Would it be counter-productive to CP's if I combined a mild solution fertilizer to a few drops of Superthrive?

I am wanting to use this fertilizer combination on Nepenthes, Darlingtonia seedlings, and Drosera regia seedlings.

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Derick,

For those species it will be just fine.  They will benefit from regular, weak fertilization, and SuperThrive helps with root development.  Just be sure you're doing regular top watering on these plants so not to get build-up from the fertilizer.

Good Growing!

We no longer answer how-to questions (i.e. How do I propagate...?; How do I grow...?).

Instead, we help growers by diagnosing a specific plant problem and offering solutions (i.e. Why is my sundew not producing dew?; Is now a good time to divide my Sarracenia?; Why are the traps turning black?; What's a good substitute for perlite?; Why didn't my seeds germinate?; Can you identify this carnivorous plant for me?)
