Question
I grow a beautiful Drosera Capensis and it flowered a while ago. How do I know when the pods are ready to produce seeds? Will they explode? Or should I pick the pods off the plant and let them dry out?

Hi Elizabeth,
The seed pods will turn black and open slightly when they are ripe and ready to drop seeds. At that point, hold the stalk over a white piece of paper and tap it and you'll see seeds fall out. Don't remove the stalk until it's dried, or the seeds may not be fully developed yet.
