Is Premier, Pro Mix, BX with Mycorise (see below link) ok for replanting my CP's?

ANSWER: Hi Coach Mac,
All of those will kill your plants. Those are regular potting mixes with fertilizers and other additives for regular plants. Carnivorous plants need a low nutrient soil media with no fertilizers or compost. QUESTION: That's great advise, thanks. Along those lines, I do have an established (small) fish pond with gold fish and Koi. I would like to place my Fly-trap along the edge of the pond. Will the nutrients in the water from the fish, etc be a problem? I also have a number of Sundew plants. Would those be OK along the shore of my pond? Thanks again.

Hi Coach Mac,
I've found that if you have an established pond with plants that carnivorous plants tend to do fine. Since I don't know where you live, I don't have any idea about your water quality. In general, the harder your water, the worse it is for carnivorous plants. It would be good to test your water for general hardness. If it's 50ppm or less, it will be fine.
