Carnivorous Plants/Repotting and blooming (1 question)

Question
Hello guys,  Im wondering I have several pitcher plants of different varieties that are currently putting on bloom stalks... Is it too late to seperate or repot them?  The sudden very warm weather caught me off guard and they started the budding a couple of weeks early.

Thanks!

Dex

Answer
I'm assuming you're talking about Sarracenia pitcher plants and not tropical pitcher plants.  It's still early in the growing season, so it's perfectly fine to divide and repot your plants.  If you choose to divide them, definitely cut off the flower stalks so that your plant can focus on producing leaves and repairing the rhizome.

Good growing!

We no longer answer how-to questions (i.e. How do I propagate...?; How do I grow...?).

Instead, we help growers by diagnosing a specific plant problem and offering solutions (i.e. Why is my sundew not producing dew?; Is now a good time to divide my Sarracenia?; Why are the traps turning black?; What's a good substitute for perlite?; Why didn't my seeds germinate?; Can you identify this carnivorous plant for me?)
