Question
Sarracenia Flava
Sarracenia Flava
I bought a Sarracenia Flava from you guys marked Sarracenia Flava but it looks very different from all the flavas shone on your website. I live in Oklahoma and the plant is in a peat/perlite mix receiving full sun outdoors. Can the color difference be from increased sunlight or is mine a different variety?

Answer
If you purchased this plant as a regular flava, you lucked out!  This is a red tube clone that we released as AG3, which we sold for twice as much as the regular variety.  We recently sold out of his variety, so that's why you don't see it online.  In any case, you have a very nice specimen!

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR QUESTION:
We no longer answer how-to questions (i.e. How do I propagate...?; How do I grow...?).

Instead, we help growers by diagnosing a specific plant problem and offering solutions (i.e. Why is my sundew not producing dew?; Is now a good time to divide my Sarracenia?; Why are the traps turning black?; What's a good substitute for perlite?; Why didn't my seeds germinate?; Can you identify this carnivorous plant for me?)
