my Dad bought this nepenthes for me, i think home depot. I'm not exactly sure what type it is, especially if it's a highland or lowland.

Hi Jad,
This plant is know as "deRoose's alata". It is Nepenthes (alata x ventricosa)x N. alata. It's an intermediate, and a super easy grower. It's one of the best plants for a first time Nepenthes owner.
