Question
Hi i want to ask you guys a queestion while i want to no since i got a nepenthes miranda i went out and got me some maxsea 16-16-16 for my nepenthes plants and i want to no if you guys give your plants maxsea 16-16-16 because i give my plant some but i just wipe the leaf with it but my question is can you put it in the soil like water the plant so i want to no how do you guys use it thank you

Answer
Hi Robert,

Maxsea is great fertilizer.  You can put it both in the soil and spray it on the leaves as a foliar fertilizer.  However, if your plant is catching bugs, you probably don't need to fertilize at all.  Also keep in mind that fertilizer is no substitute for proper growing conditions, especially getting enough sun.  Nepenthes miranda likes a lot of sun.  Do no more than 1/4 tsp. per gallon of water, and only about once every two weeks.

Good Growing!

We no longer answer how-to questions (i.e. How do I propagate...?; How do I grow...?).

Instead, we help growers by diagnosing a specific plant problem and offering solutions (i.e. Why is my sundew not producing dew?; Is now a good time to divide my Sarracenia?; Why are the traps turning black?; What's a good substitute for perlite?; Why didn't my seeds germinate?; Can you identify this carnivorous plant for me?)
