Question
I have a nepenthes ventricosa that is about 4 years old it just flowered (its a male). There is another plant growing from the mother plants roots.(kind of a baby plant, it has little pitchers already). Can I seperate theses two plants.
Hi Sal,
Offshoots coming from the bottom of a Nepenthes are new shoots developing from sections of the stem under the soil. It doesn't have it's own roots. If you separate it you have to treat it as a cutting, meaning you need to root it. It's not like dividing Sarracenia.
