Question
I have not been able to find the brands of peat moss bales in my area that I have used in the past and trusted. The only brand I can find is Fafard 3.0 Cu. Ft. Majestic Earth Peat Moss sold at Lowes. Do you have any information on this brand and is safe to use on carnivorous plants? Thanks! I meant too ask you this question first , but somehow I ask a different expert. This expert was very helpful and gave me advise, but I have had great success with information I have attained from you and I guess now I looking for a second opinion- LOL, Thanks!
Hi Tim,
I've never found any problem with baled peat moss. Just check the label. It should say 100% Canadian sphagnum peat moss. If it says that you should be fine. Just avoid small bags of peat since many of those contain fertilizer. Here's a link to Fafard's website: http://www.fafard.com/Products/BaledMixes.aspx
