Carnivorous Plants/Outdoor Sunlight - Insufficient

I recently dug out and "installed" my own outdoor, in-ground bog.  I put it in an area that was undeveloped. However, I am noticing that it does not get as much light as I had thought...only getting about 2 hours of direct sun each day.

So now I am going to relocate the bog. My question is: how long can my newly transplanted CPs (sarracenia, VFT, sundews) tolerate the insufficient light before getting really unhealthy? I am trying to get this done as soon as possible but want to plan correctly this time and need to reroute some sprinklers..

Thank you!

Hi Trace,

Sarracenia will tolerate the low light quite a long time, but the flytraps and sundews are much less forgiving.  If you can get this done within a week, or pot the plants and move them to a sunny spot while you're constructing the new bog, they will undergo less transition shock from leaf burn.

Good Growing!
