Question
hihi.. i have another question about another carnivorous plant.  I saw 2 new grow out leaves which are green but the tip of the leaves are Purple color but it looks like the tips are dried out, like super try etc.. should i cut them off or it is normal like that for the new growth.  if i cut both of them.. will it hurt the plant.. will it produce more new baby growth?

Please let me know thanks

Answer
If your plants are light green that means the light intensity is low. The Purple Pitcher Plant is much better suited for outdoor growing, or for bright sunny windowsills. They should receive minimum 8-10 hours of sun on a sunny day.

I am not sure what the problem of the pitcher plant is, I think it is really rare. You might want to ask Sarracenia Northwest or Dave Taylor about this. They know alot about pitcher plants.
Good luck and good growing!

Expertise

I can answer almost everything about carnivorous plants and how to care for them. This includes sundews, Pitcher plants, Venus fly trap, and other carnivores. I can not answer questions on bladderworts or butterworts. I don't know much about them. Enjoy Your Plants!

Experience

I have raised carnivores and I learned how to take care of them. I've had great success growing these fascinating plants.

Education/Credentials
I learned about these plants by doing research for months. I checked out books and went online. I actually did this to take care of my carnivorous plants myself but all this researching I did made me a great talent at it.
