About Inkwolf Expertise I can answer questions about classic-era and
modern American comic strips, and have a good
store of knowledge about animation and
animated cartoons of the past. I know a bit
about some American and European comic
books (Humor only.) I can help with questions
about traditional media and some computer
methods of drawing and animating. And I can
recommend some excellent and useful books!
I can't give any idea of the monetary value of original artwork/animation cels, etc.
Experience I have been drawing for many years, have studied cartooning and illustration, done caricaturing from photographs and am very interested in classic comic strips. I also worked as a writer for the Mickey Mouse comic strip for three years, and had some of my submissions for newspaper syndication personally reviewed.
Question I want to know the title or any other reference of a specific animated cartoon. In this cartoon there is Bugs Bunny and also two "hillbillies" (I am not sure if I am using the right word, because I am not american), these hillbillies are bearded characters who live in the country, perhaps they were goldiggers or something like that, they were enemies. At one point they dance while Bugs Bunny plays the violin and sings a song, and makes them do things by means of the lyrics of the song, and by the end of the song, Bugs makes them fight against each other.
If you know the title of this specific cartoon, the name of the characters, or the year it was produced, or any other reference, I would appreciate it. Such information it might help me to search for a CD or a DVD containning that cartoon or that song. I am hoping to find it as a gift to a close friend. Also, if you could tell me the genre of such dance music, I may search for something similar.
Thank you,
Carlos
Answer Hi, Carlos!
No problem, that short has always been among my favorites. It's Hillbilly Hare, and here's the IMDB listing for it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042555/
