Question
I have a cat that has a Urinary Tract Infection and I just wondered what kind of brand of food is okay for him to eat.

Answer
Hi Dave,

I have recently answers several questions regarding urinary problmes in cats, including infections and blockages due to struvite stones.  Please find those articles here:

You will also find information on brands, food ingredeients, and feeding schedules.  If after looking over those answers, please post a reply if you have any further questions.  I would be happy to give you an individual reply but really think that you will get more information from those past answers because some specifics have been asked in some of them.  In a nutshell, avoid the big name commercial brands...even Science Diet and Iams.  They contain cheap fillers and ingredients that are unhealthy and potentially toxic.  Look for products that state they contain human-grade ingredients.

Experience

I have done research on the relationship between feline diet and feline diabetes due to my personal experience in dealing with one of my own cats. I am a pet lover and always have numerous cats and dogs. I believe in feeding a high quality and by-product free diet. Diet alone cured my diabetic cat as well as either cured or significantly helped many others.
