Cat Food - Feeding my kitten

Question
Hi,
I have a 13 week old kitten I have had for 5 weeks, when we 1st got her she was very skinny and wouldn't eat much at all.  We wormed her and tried her with dry kitten food, but she wouldn't touch it, then we tried her with pouches of kitten food, now she has put on a bit more weight we would like to try and get her back on the dry kitten food.  Our other cat eats dry food and he keeps pinching her food and this is proving to be very expensive, also its just not fair on him.  She also wake me a bout 3 times during the night to be and constantly cries if I don't feed her, this was ok on a short term basis but now it is starting to catch up with me and I am very tired all of the time.  I have tried mixing in her dry food with meat but she just eats around it, I have even tried it with tuna juice but she just drinks the juice.  Please advise on what to do.

Michelle

Answer
Ok Michelle, Did you know that Wet food is much better for cats?
So many cats get Urinary crystals because of the dry food and not getting enough moisture...Cat's don't like to drink too much water.

How about we do this:  Keep some dry food down for "free" feeding of the two cat kids.....
Offer both cats 2 meals of wet food per day...
The older cat can just have 2-3 ounces of wet food 2 x per day/ to help his taste buds but also it helps his kidneys...
The kitten can have 4-6 ounces 2 x per day of wet.

HOW about cooking for them???  SoJo cat mix makes it easy...You add the fresh and Lightly cooked meats to the SoJO mix.
Turkey, Chicken and some red meat ( just 1-2 x per week of red)
Also, you can do canned tuna just 1 x per week.
All this can be added to the SoJo mix:

My dog loves the sojo home cooking - we buy the Grain free dog food mix in the green bag...
I was so happy to see they have this cat food mix, too!
I have heard good things about the cat food mix...

I sure hope this helps...

Remember, most cats diet of Urinary failure due to crystals...
So, wet moist food and LOW grains is the key... Cats need meat and not too many grains...The Dry cat foods / seem to have many grains in them and LESS meat.

Take care!
