Cat Food/elderly cat post extraction site not clotting good

Question
my 20 year old cat had 3 nonsurgical extractions and one surgical extraction 5 days ago.  The sites clot and then unclot and she bleeds.  I asked the vet what I could give her to help promote clotting.  He suggested raw chicken liver.  I gave it to her today this morning.  She loved it and ate 2 helpings.  My question is am I able to give her that everyday.?.  What do you recommend?  I also gave her raw chicken breast for dinner as my sister said she fed that to her cat. She loved that also.  Is that okay?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Leslie,

I wouldn't recommend feeding only raw chicken liver for an extended period of time.  While she is recovering from the extractions, it's a great idea to stick to any soft foods, canned cat food, boiled/raw chicken, tuna, etc.  I would highly recommend trying the Wellness Brand of canned cat food, as it is a good consistency and highly nutritious.  It also contains more protein than many of the large commercial brands.  Hopefully her clotting is under control now and she is healing up nicely.  I apologize for not responding soon as I have been out of town.

Experience

I have done research on the relationship between feline diet and feline diabetes due to my personal experience in dealing with one of my own cats. I am a pet lover and always have numerous cats and dogs. I believe in feeding a high quality and by-product free diet. Diet alone cured my diabetic cat as well as either cured or significantly helped many others.
