Cat Food/cat vomiting

Question
Hello KC,
I adopted a 7 mo old kitten, Chloe, from the local humane society three
weeks ago. During the first two weeks Chloe vomited twice, both times not
immediately after eating. Last week, she vomited four-five times in one day,
each time after she ate and drank water. We took her to the emergency clinic,
the x-rays and vitals were normal. Chloe was tested for parasites because
she was treated for coccidia at the humane society, and the test was negative.
She was treated with fluids and a few shots to settle her stomach. During the
whole time we have had her, she has been playful, bright, and shows no signs
of not feeling well. The past few days she has vomited once. I hear her
stomach grumbling sometimes and I am thinking it is gas. She has not had
diarreaha and has been using the liter box. The vet also tested her for feline
lukemia, it was also negative. Currently I am feeding her Science Diet kitten
food because that is what she was fed at the humane society. I know I need
to change her food, but am unsure which brand to try.
Any advice you can provide will be helpful, I am feeling helpless and
confused. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Melissa, Let's do some home-cooking for this little one.
I would do this for at least 3 months.  Then, contact me and we will figure on a commercial food or you can continue to home-cook:

- Be your cat's or kitten's  chef ****
here is a a recipe to follow:

Feline Feeding Formula:

Meat 98% - Choose 1-2 meats ( YOU can cook up lightly in a fry pan with just a dab of olive oil)

      ground raw turkey

      ground raw chicken

      raw or cooked seafood

*****************  Sometimes Tuna-
tuna in water  (occasionally, Not daily)

Grain 1%:
( THIS is optional)

Oatmeal, oatbran, rice, barley (grind in blender or food processor) -

only feed grain occasionally  ( Not needed at every meal)

Vegetables 1%:

puréed, juiced, raw or steamed -- this should ideally be a salad.

only feed salad occasionally  ( NOT needed often)- PUREE it in the blender .....

Bone meal:
Mix 1/4 teaspoon into meat every few days
Kitten can be fed 1/4 to 1/2 of a cup, 4 x per day ...

Vitamin-
Use a balanced one Like "NuVET FElINE" Formual - give your cat kid just 1/2 a teaspoon of NuVET Plus Feline per day... Mix into his food.

NuVET is sold by Holistic VETs all over the world-

1-800-474-7044

( 6 months will be only 55.00 ) and then the discount.

Let me know how she likes you Cooking?

FREEZE it up weekly - PICK one day each week for your cooking and then freeze.

BEST wishes
