Question
QUESTION: hi..
i feed my cats friskees canned cat food AND dry and i was just wondering if that
causes kidney faliure, ive seen it online that it does cause kidney faliure but
i wasn't sure if that was true or not.  I also feed them 9Lives wet, is that okay for them or what do you prefer?

ANSWER: Friskees and 9 Lives are both HORRIBLE foods...you'd be better off feeding only human table scraps because the ingredients in most commercial foods are so bad.  And yes, they can lead to kidney failure, diabetes, liver failure, fatty liver disease, allergies, intestinal problems, among others.  Please see my main allexperts page for more information and links.  Most all of my past answers also contain great info on brands to trust, good ingredients, feeding schedules, diet, etc.  If after reviewing that info you have any further questions at all, please just reply to this message.  I hope this helps :-)

Experience

I have done research on the relationship between feline diet and feline diabetes due to my personal experience in dealing with one of my own cats. I am a pet lover and always have numerous cats and dogs. I believe in feeding a high quality and by-product free diet. Diet alone cured my diabetic cat as well as either cured or significantly helped many others.
