I have had two sphynx and I can tell you they are VERY active cats. They will start running around like they possessed.  I've done lots of research on the breed and learned they are not the docile "lap cats" at least during their younger years.  I have several other cats so mine have playmates and they still act that way.  They also have voracious appetites!  One thing you might try is called Feniway.  It is a natural cat feramone that you can buy at Petsmart.  They come with a plug in unit (like a room deodorizer) and the refills last about a month.  You can't smell a thing but it does seem to calm everyone down without making them lethargic.  Good luck!
