Catering/dessert quantities

Question
Hi Kay!
I am serving a group of about 180 for a Valentine dinner.  It will be a plated dinner and dessert service.  There is only one entree choice (lasagna....or veggie lasagna).  The guests will however have a choice of dessert.  Either New York Cheesecake with berry sauce or a decadent chocolate cake with raspberry and mousse filling.  My question is, approximately what ratio of cheesecake to chocolate cake do I need? (without running out of either or having gobs of extra)

Thanks in advance
Becca

Answer
Becca, please forgive my delay in responding to your question...which by the way, is a toughy!

Unless, you really over produce...there is always the possibility of the last few people served not having an option.  My best guess would be to have 100 portions of each.  You will have 20 portions of something left over - hopefully a combination of each.  You have selected two popular items...so, I do not think that you will have one that is wildly more requested than the other.

I hope these thoughts help in your final decision.

Best regards,
K
