Catholics/Humility

Question
What is the price of humility? Besides ridding myself of presumption (another thing I’m clueless as to how to do), how do I humble myself? It wasn’t until recently that I realized just how important humility is and how presumptuous I really was. This realization is probably a good start, and so is the praying I’ve been doing. But besides praying, what can I do to humble myself? Is it possible to enjoy the gifts of a changed life and to be humble at the same time? I don’t have to give up anything in order to be humble, do I?

Thanks.

dear Anonymous,
I think there is only one thing one really needs to give up, if they desire to be humble: sin.
To be humble is acknowledge who we really are, especially in relation to God.
We can enjoy the gifts/fruits of changed life, and be humble. A great example of this can be seen the life of St. Francis of Assisi.
