A celebrate lifestyle is a vocation, a gift of grace from God. According to most reports, even reports from non-Catholic sources have suggested that its less 2 of priests have molested children, world wide. That is still to high, by Catholic moral standards yet its much lower than other professional groups (teachers/police liaison officers, etc.).
Money is not the root of evil but as Christ said the love of it, is the root of many evils. We are called to give Christ, through giving to others personally or through the Church. We can give by sharing of our material goods, our time or our talents. We can give through a parish or some other worthy group or cause for the betterment of persons. One of my ways of giving is by answering questions here and via my blog. Perhaps you could share some talent for the betterment of those around in some new creative way.
