QuestionDear Padraig,
I am curious if you do not mind me asking I want to know are you still a Cistercian monk? Are they're any Cisterican nuns in my area? I am still discerning my religious life calling. I will be trying to get a career soon in little then next week and or in the next two weeks.
Life is going okay for me. How about you. You some non catholics can be sooooo arrogant. I was sharing my faith with another person who is a non catholic and boy was he a nasty person he was a jerk. He called us catholics Mary worshippers, Harlots, and so on I was like in the back of my mind man this guy needs a recheck or a pill to refocus his memory because the beliefs on this guy was sad.
I am just trying to be a sweet person and this guy barks at me. He called the Pope the Antichrist. For godsake. I was so mad. I felt like telling him like it is, but I said to myself you know what Jackie it is just not worth it. People are people let them believe what they want and when it is there time to go and pass on they will know the truth.
Am I right. What do you think about these people and my other question is is Catholicism the only church of divine origin?
AnswerHi Jaqui
I am no longer a Cistercain monk and have not been for many years. I am not sure if there are any Cistercian nuns in your area as I do not know what area you are living in.
However A Cistercian/Contemplative vocation is very, very special, one of the signs you might have one is that you are spending quite long times in prayer.
I do believe that the Catholic Church is of Divine Origin and is the One, True Church.
I would feel a lot of compassion about folks who talk about the Church the way you said. they have been laid astray be foolish old bigotries. The best way to talk with such folks is with love, compassion and the sword of truth.
God Bless,
Padraig
