Catholics/the pope

Question
I always admire people who do God's work and I know the pope does. My question is
Why do the catholics call him the Holy Father when the bible says that there is only one Holy Father and that is God?

Answer
Hi Sonia,

As a general rule, Catholics do not read the Bible as literally as some other Christians do. This way of addressing the pope is quite ancient, and it certainly does not in any way diminish our adoration of Almighty God and our acknowledgment of his complete supremacy in our lives.
