Question
Dear Fr. Jerome,

I have a question. I always have been having this dream ever since childhood till now! Why I do not know....

I had this dream I remember it so clearly. I still remember it in very vivid detail. I've told friends in church even my family and they say it's so extensive,I should get it interpreted professionally. I'm so surprised that from being just only 4 I remember the dream till now.

I have had this dream for 14 years. I have this dream constant sometimes I wake up then I dream about something else. I can remember every last detail of this dream when I can barely remember last night's.

The dream started with me in Israel. In the town called Galilee where I lived. Then I saw St. Joseph and Mary with her 12 year old Son Jesus the Messiah. Then I see myself in this older womans body. I greet a woman at the door. I then saw a HALO around her head. I said Blessed are you among women blessed is the fruit of thy womb. She smiled And I heard her call me Elizabeth. I do not know why?

Then the dream changed. Suddenly I From around the wall came four men, or women, I will never know. They were completely covered in dark cloaks with cowls and I couldn't see their faces. They each had a weapon. One a sword, one a scythe, one a flail, and one a spear.

I could sense an immense amount of evil about these men and began running harder there was only four of them they were slaying these christians. Once I passed the wall, I looked down the street and saw a mob of people running west scared. The four men began killing these people in a very indiscriminate fashion. The had a evil laughter. So evil you could sence that they were of the devil.

I looked behind me I saw a man in a hooded cloak I couldnt see his face. His face was hidden in the hood. I saw his hands and they looked like a shape of a lizard but with the claws of a gargoyal. This dream has disturbed me for years and I hope it can be interpreted.

What struck me as very odd was that these four men never walked or ran. If you looked away there were simply just in another place.

They never walked or ran there, they simply were just there as if they had always been. This alone scared me even more and I started running harder. I kept looking back over my shoulder and saw these men utterly destroying the group of running people even children. I don't even want to indulge in the amount of gruesomeness I witnessed in this dream. I looked to my left and saw a purple cloaked man standing behind a woman. And he ask her if she was christian and if she was she would be killed.

I was so much in horror. I looked up then I saw a light. Then I was taken out of this dream into a biblical dream when the romans were killing Jesus. I was so sad that I wepted so much Jesus came to me and to the women around me wepting for him. Then he said Weep not for me but for your children. Then the Roman said to him move and whipped him.

And then I see a cross and I wake up. What is going on.

He slew her with his scythe and raised it again to kill me. As he swung the blade down, I woke up.

Answer
We are warned by Scripture to stay away from the occult.  Perhaps during the day you are filling your mind with fantasies, videogames, and the like, which what St. Thomas Aquinas calls phantasmata.  Try reading solidly traditional Catholic books, assisting at the Traditional Latin Mass and Sacraments.  Fill you mind with what is sound and rational, and these phantasms will probably disappear.
