Catholics/Pure Love

Question
I have a question and I NEED some advice. I want to start a "Pure Love Club" at  school. The purpose of the club is promoting the message,"Pure love is true love. Sex is for marriage." I've been getting tips from www.pureloveclub.com but I still need some help. I really want to help other teens who are struggling or trying to live a life of purity. When I think about the world in general, I think about how impure the world is today. And, many of the influences are from the media- from music to even clothing. Everday, I pray to stay pure for my future husband and for my future husband to do the same to me.  There are so many teens out there who are not living a pure life because there either never told about living a pure life, or they think that being pure is "out of style."   Like any other teenage girl, I am also struggling with modesty.  Shopping has now been a real challenge because I want to look cute and modest, but fashion today has told me otherwise. For awhile, I've been wondering if God is calling me to become a chasity speaker like Crystlina and Jason Evert. I've been reading their books and several articles that are based on purity.  Do you think that the Pure Love Club will be successful at my school?( I go to a catholic school by the way) Do you think it will go far?  I really need your advice because I feel so passionate about living a pure life. Thank you so much for your time.

Answer
Stephanie,

I applaud you for what you're doing. Chastity and modesty in today's world are indeed a challenge. It's inspiring to read how you feel about it. If you are as passionate about this issue as you appear to be, you should definitely speak out about it. God speaks to us in our gut. Go for it. I have no idea whether a Pure Love Club would be successful at your school. I would like to think that it would thrive in a Catholic school. One thing is for certain: such a club is needed probably in every high school in the country. Good luck. Know that you're in my prayers.
