Question
Thanks, Mr. Bode...Nice talking at ya!

PS.  We need to learn more about the Second Council of Constantinople and whether "waterboarding" the Roman Pontiff by the Emperor Justinian is acceptable for introducing new liturgical and theological guidelines into the Christian tradition.

Answer
Jiminy, I am not a historian of the councils.  Constantinople II has been accepted as an ecumenical council.
You might check www.newadvent.org -- check "encyclopedia" and search the second council of Constantinople.
The dirth of references to reincarnation in the New Testament may be an indication that Buddhists beliefs were not on the table -- Jesus confronted the Scribes/Pharisees who had concerns about the resurrection of the body and that Paul dealt with such adversareis as Judaizers, Hellenistic pagans, etc.
Best wishes.
