Question
Hi George,
It's me again. How was your 4th of July?
Well, anyway, I asked you before if everything happening for a reason is the same thing is the same thing as fate. And you said to ask it again later, because you were writing a paper about something like that for your cousin. Is your paper done? And is everything happening for a reason the same thing as fate?

Thanks! :)

Answer
Peace

dear Matt
My 4th was good despite having to work 9-2 and then 5-11. Thanks for starting with a simple question. hehehe
I didn't started on the paper because I lost my initial notes, but I feel I can do a basic summary for you.
    The summary:

The oldest use of word Fate as it was used to mean: things beyond human will or cause, comes from a Greek word that was used a name to be three beings that were able to control or punish even the "Gods" at times.

The true and living God is truly a free and an uncreated Being. Humans are created and were given a free will.

God in a very limited sense has two wills. Permissive and Active. Permissive meaning if He intervened, He would limit or hinder the free will of those He created with Free Wills. Active refers to things He cause to happen directly.

God permits evil but He doesn't cause it to happen. He allows us to chose to love or not to love. Let us love.

                    your servant but His first
