Question
i live wit my parents n a few mounths ago my granfather passed away n he lived here and this afternoon a darkish coloured dove was out on our doors step looking in the house and my mother went out and picked it up and was really tame i was just woundering if theres a sign that it happend like that good sign or bad sign or if theres a chance it could be grampy coming back jus would like to hear your opinion on that thanks matt

Answer
We should never be looking for "signs" of this kind as they can only be misleading.  If the dove goes away again, or gets sick or dies, does that mean something about grandfather?  Of course not.
It sounds like you have found a nice pet, though you might want to make sure whether he may already belong to someone and have merely escaped.
As for your grandfather the best thing always to do is to pray for the repose of his soul, and may perpetual light shine upon him.  Remember him every November on All-Soul's Day, and try to have Masses said for the repose of his soul (you ask the priest and for a very nominal stipend he will do it) for as long as God puts this on your heart.  My condolences on your loss.  It is always hard losing family, and it is pious and right to wish the best for them, but far better still to pray for them.
Hope this helps, God bless!
