QUESTION: Do you mean the original greek manuscripts used to put together the Latin Vulgate? I thought these manuscripts were lost?

Answer
There were many Greek manuscripts known in the 16th century.  Many came from the Byzantine tradition, that is, manuscripts that had been used in Greek liturgy.  These often had additions to the ancient text.
Sorry that I did not answer sooner -- I just found your question today.
Best wishes for the New Year.
