Question
I am interested in praying the Rosary Novenas.

To do this is all I need to do pray the Rosary once a day 54 days in a row (27 for the petition and 27 for thanks)?

Thanks!

Answer
Travis, Thank you for your question.

A traditional "novena" is only 9 days, which is what the term 'novena' refers to.

I'm assuming you are, however, referring to what is called often the "54 Day Rosary Novena": http://www.theholyrosary.org/54novena.html

I'm not too familiar with this practice, though it seems to be actually a series of 6 consecutive novenas, so it does seem to be a bit of a misnomer.  But nevertheless, you seem to have the general idea of this devotion down, and that link should help with the rest.

Good luck, and my our lady lead you more closely to her son!
