Question
hi sir I am a catholic, I'm in the army and I'm looking into getting a tatto. I
want the tatto to say "god is my protector" in Latin. If you do not mind can
you please translate this? Thank you very much.

Answer
Tattoos are a sinful descration of the body under the Fifth Commandment.  They are specifically condemned as pagan in the Bible.  No Catholic should ever consider defiling his body, the Temple of the Holy Ghost, as St. Paul puts it, in this way.  It makes no difference that the sentiment is religious.  That is even more sinful, as it mocks God.

You should instead carry with you the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a little book of Psalms, a rosary, a St. Benedict Medal, or some similar sacramental, and use it as an inspiration for prayer.

I assume that you asked in ignorance, as there is so much paganism in society these days, even among those who call themselves "Catholics."  But now you know.  God protect you as you serve your country.
