Catholics/pedophilia and confessions

Greetings!

I am extremely troubled by confessions to a priest since many have been convicted of pedophilia.I don't believe that priest have an ear to god anymore! I believe Christ's teaching tell me that he is my intercessor.

dear Charles,
  First, stats show that less than 2% world wide were ever accused of such evil acts. Second:Christ alone is our Savior, the priest is just a servant of Christ, that Christ uses to proclaim the Father's mercy towards us via the Sacrament of Reconcilation.
